Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan
The forests of Kapuas Hulu are rich in biodiversity. Species known to inhabit this area include: Orangutans, bears, porcupines, gibbons, gibbons, monkey, monkey, proboscis monkey, pangolin, crocodile, slow loris, freshwater whale (tampahas), Arowana, manjuhan, marine turtles, bald, bird rangkong, parrot / parrots and other varied high.
Forest is still dominant in Kapuas Hulu and covers approximately 80% of the area. Primary forest can be found in approximately 20% of the area. Agricultural crops include oil palm, rubber and rattan. Kapuas Hulu is also rich in mineral resources including coal, gold, iron, copper and gemstones.
